Ten Sleep Cattle Drive

One of the yearly traditions that climbers look forward to every year in Ten Sleep is the cattle drive. We’re awakened by thunderous mooing as 500 head of cattle lumber past the Rock Ranch, and climbers line the fence watching the foreign spectacle for most of us – just part of everyday life for the cowboys driving the cattle up to the summer grazing pastures.

I took the opportunity to ride my motorcycle up the old road, following the footsteps and fresh cow patties lining the road, to fly the drone and capture the cattle being released to their open range.
